CGB aka Good Christian Belles is a one hour dramedy based on the Good Christian Bitches book series. Having not read the novels myself, I can’t speak to how the TV show uses or abuses the source material. This week was so full of awesomeness that I almost forgot about some of its letdowns (ehem, The Walking Dead). In fact, my two to favorite viewing hours were so fantastic, I considered having a pair of top picks. In the end, I finalized my choices (expanding my top five to six) and stand by them. Perhaps because the dramas I follow far outnumber the comedies, the impact I feel from losing a laugher seems far greater. Though Modern Family, New Girl, The Big Bang Theory and the handful of other sitcoms I tune in to continue to deliver this season, I couldn’t help but notice somewhat of a void in my TV diet. It didn’t take long to identify what’s been missing lately: Community.
Valentine’s week brought more love and loss than even I expected this year. While some shows were ramping up before a break, others were just now surging back.
